Helping Hands always welcomes new members to the Community Support Committee. You
can participate in ways that match your heart, your skills, and your talents. We encourage members to DREAM BIG so that Helping Hands can grow in yet undiscovered ways that will allow us to help our
community in even bigger and better ways.

As a volunteer, here are some of the ways you will be able to participate:

Attend monthly meetings

Welcome new residents
-
Check in on an elderly or ill neighbor
-
Attend/work at Helping Hands sponsored community events, such as our monthly Community Coffee or our annual Ice Cream Social

Bring food to those who may need or welcome a meal
-
Correspond with families who have lost a loved one or are dealing with a difficult situation

Bring a neighbor to an appointment or to do some shopping
-
Provide a Helping Hands Resource Guide to a resident in need
-
Help with the annual Spring Elmer Tarr roadside cleanup

Hang holiday wreaths around the village

Decorate and tend planters in the village

Assist in the creation of Helping Hands Holiday Gift Boxes

Organize and work at various fundraisers

We welcome donations in any amount. It’s not uncommon for Helping Hands to receive donations in honor of beloved family members or friends.

The donation form will allow you to direct your donation for a specific purpose. Thank you, in advance, for your kind support of this small community charity.

Buy Our Cookbook
Helping Hands recently published a cookbook with recipes contributed by Round Pond community members. This is the second such Helping Hands cookbook (the first was published in 1976). Hence the title of this cookbook is:
Second Helpings
A new collection of recipes by
the Helping Hands of Round Pond, Maine
Cookbooks are on sale at the Granite Hall Store, Round Pond Coffee, and King Ro Market. The book costs $25 each. They can be paid for with cash, or with a check made out to Helping Hands of Round Pond.

Recycle for Us with
Helping Hands has partnered with Clynk, a bottle redemption operation that processes bottle and can redemptions on behalf of non-profit organizations as a means of fundraising.
Participating with Clynk on behalf of Helping Hands is as easy
as 1-2-3.

Fill the bags with your redeemable bottles and cans.
These bags are tagged with the information needed to track redemptions on behalf of Helping Hands. -
Drop off your full bags at the Clynk redemption center at any Hannaford market.
Simply scan the bag and drop it in the collection box. That's it!
